Appointments
Wan Shi Tong is a very busy spirit owl, but he might be willing to spare you some time if it's important enough. However, he does request that you label it in a orderly fashion with the type of entry and the date for cataloging.

[Action: May 3rd]
Wan Shi? It's-it's me Helios. I-I've come to, ah, speak with you a-about somethings. [ Things that the other probably wouldn't like but they had to be discussed. ] If you'd like to-to talk that is.
no subject
I suppose you've come to tell me the error of my ways?
[There is a trace of bitterness in his voice.]
Humans never change. They are only concerned with themselves.
no subject
[ Helios will sigh as he looks away for a brief moment. ] I'm so sorry Wan Shi Tong. I-I should have known something like this would happen. I'm trying my hardest to get them to understand, but perhaps it was a little too much too late.
no subject
Even an all knowing spirit did not anticipate this outcome.
[It pains him to say it but it's true. His way of saying it's not Helios' fault.]
no subject
[ He'll take out the books too and put them in the small pile. ] I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt because of this. I-I do care about your well being and I'm trying to find a way towards a compromise. Would you...be willing to do something like that?
[ He's not sure the response he's going to get so he's braced himself for the worse of it. ]

[@ the library, May 4th] hope this works!
[@ the library, May 4th] It does!
The large owl hears someone coming in and walks over to investigate. He looks at Isaac but says nothing before turning away.
There's no reason to guard the paltry selection that's here, and he has no reason to speak with this particular individual.]
[@ the library, May 4th]
[He glances up from the page, calm and unsmiling.]
For once, the humans are not here, consuming air and space. Or wiping themselves with the materials, only to place the filthy things back on the shelves. Some, I find, have terribly little regard for that which is not their own.

[There's definitely something different and distinctly un-library-like about the library now. Farlan may not have any special powers of perception, but he doesn't need them to guess what must have happened. It's all too obvious.
He could have predicted things would end up this way, but then, most people could have. He's just glad he's not involved, and he's hoping that wherever the books are, he's able to regain access to them.
He isn't even sure if the bird is still here, but he addresses the air, just in case. You probably can't really tell, where a spirit is concerned.]
Hey. Guess you didn't quite manage the finesse.
[His tone is not altogether unsympathetic. He's used to working with the finesse-impaired.]
no subject
Hmph. I do not believe that finesse would have aided me in this case.
no subject
[Maybe he should be more afraid of the giant owl, but at least people don't die here, right? And it hasn't seemed violent so far. Nonetheless, he's very wary of giant things, approaching slowly.]
And probably should have started out with it. Not that this is still a finesse kind of problem, but you could keep it in mind for the future.

[Farlan will find Wan Shi Tong sitting next to a shelf that has only a handful of books left on it.]

[Aang will find Wan Shi Tong hunched over the books, rereading them for the umpteenth time.
If an owl spirit could look depressed, he would certainly fit the bill.]

[action | august 10th]
It got him into enough trouble last time. He especially didn't want to cause his close friends more pain because of it. Yet for some reason, Rudy decided to see things for himself upon hearing that the spirit was back at the library. Namely, after seeing that advice column. … Curiosity may end up killing him for it, but far as he saw things, maybe Rudy just didn’t know enough. He’d wanted to know more behind their side of things – if his actions were fueled by the same driving force as her.
For now, Rudy’s sticking to the section of the library regarding texts from his homeworld, keeping an ever-cautious eye out for any materials that might concern him. At the same time, he’s keeping an eye out for the owl too. He heard they were a really big owl too, so maybe he should be easy enough to spot?]
no subject
But nothing escapes the owl spirit's notice, and eventually Rudy will see him pass by and look at him. Merely taking note of his presence and what he's doing. However, he will then move on if he's not stopped.]

‘S-Scuse me!
[Well. Maybe he should have kept his voice down a bit, but hopefully it wasn’t any louder than conversational level.]
You, ah-- sorry to bother you, but d’you mind if I ask you something?

Kai had been avoiding most of the people he'd been living with because even though he knew Korra and Asami, they weren't close like Jinora had been. They weren't family. He felt just as apart from everyone now as he had when he first arrived. So he'd been wandering the - much smaller! - enclosure day in and day out just to occupy himself.
And that was when he came across Wan Shi Tong. That big, super scary spirit. The one Jinora really liked.
And he looked terrible.
Kai watched him for a while before sighing and shuffling over to him.]
Hi.

However, the spirit owl was also missing the company of the young airbender girl. He had grown accustomed to her daily visits. But now, that was no more. While he wouldn't admit it, he actually missed her. It was rather lonely, and she the human had grown closest to.
When Kai walked up, Wan Shi Tong turned his head to look down at him. His words a bit dry as he spoke.]
Greetings.
no subject
[He didn't know what else to say, or even why he'd come over. But if he was going to be there, he might as well start the conversation. And stating the obvious was as good a place to start as any.]
no subject
[The words are sarcastic but half hearted. Wan Shi Tong doesn't feel as bitingly arrogant as he normally does.]
