Appointments

Wan Shi Tong is a very busy spirit owl, but he might be willing to spare you some time if it's important enough. However, he does request that you label it in a orderly fashion with the type of entry and the date for cataloging.

[ This whole ordeal within the village was off putting and worrisome to Helios at the moment. He could help but be torn as he tried to see both sides of the argument at hand. He had warned the knowledge spirit that such things might happen and, indeed, they did without fail. But walking into the desolate library was eerie and left him feeling a bit empty himself. This was the first time in all his years here to see said library in such a state and it looked darker and less inviting than usual. Helios will be carrying with him a small basket and a bag with a few books, new ones that recently appeared but were shunted away probably before the spirit could read them. So he opted to give Wan Shi a chance to read them. The basket on the other hand had some finger foods and a thermos filled with a calming tea within it. Helios expected he would be staying awhile if only to keep the spirit company and perhaps talk to him about the options left with this whole mess. ]

Wan Shi? It's-it's me Helios. I-I've come to, ah, speak with you a-about somethings. [ Things that the other probably wouldn't like but they had to be discussed. ] If you'd like to-to talk that is.

[Silence hangs like a pall in the library in the wake of the latest heist that has stripped its shelves bare. But in near-abandonment the place is more inviting to Isaac than it has ever been. He pushes through the door with a casual calm as if nothing has changed at all, his gaze panning across the interior and taking in its lonely emptiness before he settles into the most comfortable seat he can find. And while nothing quite matches the comforts of home, it'll do. Before long, he's resting his feet up on a table and turning to a blank page in a newer sketchbook, pencil at the ready.]

[[ooc: I decided that Farlan arriving after the books are gone would be more amusing.]]

[There's definitely something different and distinctly un-library-like about the library now. Farlan may not have any special powers of perception, but he doesn't need them to guess what must have happened. It's all too obvious.

He could have predicted things would end up this way, but then, most people could have. He's just glad he's not involved, and he's hoping that wherever the books are, he's able to regain access to them.

He isn't even sure if the bird is still here, but he addresses the air, just in case. You probably can't really tell, where a spirit is concerned.
]

Hey. Guess you didn't quite manage the finesse.

[His tone is not altogether unsympathetic. He's used to working with the finesse-impaired.]

[Rudy may not have been directly involved, but he had certainly heard about (and witnessed) the whole debacle regarding the library. A messy conflict between a giant owl spirit of knowledge and people, particularly one named Loki. At first, Rudy didn’t intend to get himself involved. As much as he didn’t like how the matter was handled (particularly after hearing they'd apparently brought it to a school of all places), he knew well enough: don’t get involved in the matters of spirits. Or gods, for that matter.

It got him into enough trouble last time. He especially didn't want to cause his close friends more pain because of it. Yet for some reason, Rudy decided to see things for himself upon hearing that the spirit was back at the library. Namely, after seeing that advice column. … Curiosity may end up killing him for it, but far as he saw things, maybe Rudy just didn’t know enough. He’d wanted to know more behind their side of things – if his actions were fueled by the same driving force as her.

For now, Rudy’s sticking to the section of the library regarding texts from his homeworld, keeping an ever-cautious eye out for any materials that might concern him. At the same time, he’s keeping an eye out for the owl too. He heard they were a really big owl too, so maybe he should be easy enough to spot?]

[Jinora was gone. He'd searched for the last few days and it was pretty much certain she was gone and there was nothing he could do about it. He wasn't even in the comfort of the house they'd been living in any more. Without Jinora everything that was really familiar was just gone. And he hated it.

Kai had been avoiding most of the people he'd been living with because even though he knew Korra and Asami, they weren't close like Jinora had been. They weren't family. He felt just as apart from everyone now as he had when he first arrived. So he'd been wandering the - much smaller! - enclosure day in and day out just to occupy himself.

And that was when he came across Wan Shi Tong. That big, super scary spirit. The one Jinora really liked.

And he looked terrible.

Kai watched him for a while before sighing and shuffling over to him.]
