Chapter Two - And the Owl Came Back~ [Video/Action]
[The video feed will come on with a figure that most everyone in Luceti is probably familiar with by now. The large owl towering over the journal and an overcast sky above him as it rains lightly.]
Greetings citizens of Luceti, I am Wan Shi Tong, he who knows ten thousand things.
[Sound familiar?]
In my world I am the spirit of knowledge and I have my own library for the betterment of mankind. As such, I believe my services here would be most valuable to you.
However, it would seem that for some reason I am unable to enter your library. I would appreciate an explanation or perhaps some assistance in this matter.
[The feed will then cut off. And in the mean time, the owl will be sitting outside the library. In the rain. He's getting wet out here.]
[OOC: Feel free to either respond or run into Wan Shi Tong getting wet outside the library!]

Action
It is a good barrier, isn't it?
Action
It is quite effective, though I do not understand the purpose of it.
Action
I would think that should be blatantly obvious, Mr. Wan Shi Tong.

That certainly looks more familiar (and worrysome) than anything else in this town. He's across the street, watching as some people walk right by and others avoid the issue altogether... that's... odd. He's not sure whether to approach, or to give this god or spirit its berth.]
You look out of place.
[He doesn't directly address Wan Shi Tong with that, but it's audible enough.]
[Action]
Yes, a large spirit in the form of an owl in the middle of a dominantly human village would look out of place.

Either way, she has errands to run that happen to to bring her near the library. And when she spots Wan Shi Tong just...standing there...she'll take pity on him. The rain around him just sort of begins to slide off as she nears, leaving him at least somewhat dry.]
Hello, Wan Shi Tong.
[action]
Greetings, you are Saori, correct?
[He hasn't fully read the journal yet but has seen mention of her. Otherwise... he doesn't remember her at all.]

Which may explain why she's wearing a large, green halter top and a pair of orange men's shorts. Styling has never been high on her list of things to do. She just liked the halter as it didn't get in the way of her large pair of white wings. Wan Shi Tong may be interested to note that while her clothing soaks in the rain her skin does not. Almost as if it's absorbed right into her skin.
She has larger facial features, legs, arms, fingers, and toes than a normal human has. The blue scales that dot her body in clusters should also be another dead giveaway that the woman who slows to look the spirit up and down is not at all human.]
I have not seen a creature such as yourself in my world. [She tilts her head. Unsure of the proper greeting. The sensation she gets from the owl is not that of a demon or a God, but he is so large she is not sure. Good thing being blunt is her specialty.] Are you a God?
[Action]
I am a spirit of knowledge.
And what of you? I have not seen your kind before either.

I have noticed.
...
But what do you mean by "back"?

Which is why Hilda is carrying books pertaining to her home, as few as they are, in one arm when she meets the owl outside. Her other hand carries her golden staff. Habits can't be changed. Even for rain.
... Her heart kind of goes out to him. How unfortunate it was to have a duty, and yet not be able to do it. The thought itself scares her.]
Pardon me, but do you plan to stay out here until you're let in? It's a shame to see someone such as yourself, someone whose duty pertains to this place and its safekeeping, sitting out in the rain.
[Hilda herself didn't see what the whole deal was. It wasn't so farfetched to think that a spirit of knowledge would want to inhabit a library, though all the spirits in her world were of a bad nature. A duty was a duty - especially if born into it.]
action
I do not see any other alternative.
[After all, of all the places in Luceti, this is where he belongs.]

[Action - Library]
What she's heard of what happened recently was third-hand, but she did want to talk to him...]
Excuse me. If you'd like, I could bring out some books if you were looking for something specific. I'm at the library pretty often, so, I know the shelving system pretty well; it's not a trouble.
[Action - Library]
This is a most generous and kind offer. I do not have any particular subjects in mind. Any sort will do. Though I do fear the books will become damaged in this weather.

He felt a lump of guilt inside of him, but he wasn't sure why. Had the negotiations not gone so smoothly - had Wan Shi Tong been brainwashed in some way? Or had he gone home and come again within a week from a much earlier point in time, in an example of how fickle this world could be?
Aang didn't consider the other alternative. He did not want to consider that Wan Shi Tong was gone for exactly a week and the implications of that specific period of absence.
He had a sad smile on his face as he approached the Knowledge Spirit. Just as he was doing to himself; he did to Wan Shi Tong. He quietly bent the water around them so it was like they both had invisible umbrellas.]
You... you really don't remember me, do you?
[Action]
Aside from yesterday, no, I do not.
[Should he? But he does notice the waterbending.]
You have the appearance of an Air Nomad, but you can waterbend. That certainly validates your claim to being an Avatar.

He was actually in the library at the time, so he stepped outside and opened an umbrella for himself as he looked up towards the gigantic owl, in a casual manner.]
Mr. Tong, I presume.

Betterment…? [He lets out a soft, scoffing chuckle, though his amusement doesn't reach his eyes.] Please; if you hope to persuade these creatures that you have their best interests at heart, you are failing miserably.

To what would end would I be trying to persuade anyone? I am merely stating the facts.

... but, um. That's kind of a HUGE owl, and he looks more than a little nervous about approaching it, meaning that he's going to hang back and just stare for a few moments while he tries to work up the nerve to get closer.]
Um...
[Action]
If you have something to say, you may as well say it.
